Office Manager

Maria Henderson

Maria Henderson is our office manager and uses her considerable communication skills in her role as liaison between dentist, team, and patient. She oversees the responsibilities and duties of all office personnel, making sure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. Maria is our Colonel-Know-It-All who has served patients at our practices with pride since the practice opened in 2006. The second you call or walk into the office, Maria will greet you with a smile and make you feel right at home in both English and Spanish. Maria was born in Mexico and raised in El Paso, Texas. Prior to entering the healthcare profession, Maria was employed by the North Carolina Detention System. Fortunately, for all of us at Burlington Dental, Maria brought all her considerable communication skills to the dental world some six years ago. Maria is married and she and her husband have three boys. Maria is always seeking ways to make people smile, affordably. Outside the office, Maria enjoys shopping, movies (scary and suspenseful), time with her family, and the Dallas Cowboys. To get on her good side, give Maria a Starbuck’s coffee.

Treatment Coordinator

Denise Sanchez

Denise enjoys interacting with people and it shows in everything she does including managing the phone, scheduling treatments, and answering your questions about financial matters. Denise is fluent in both English and Spanish and being bilingual is a great skill that benefits our patients (and us, too!). In her spare time, Lisa enjoys bowling and cooking.

Assistants

Vera Griffin

Vera Griffin is another native of North Carolina and she has her dental assisting degree from Alamance Community College. Vera loves to read, and when someone turns on a television, she moves to another room. Chinese food gets her to the dinner table, fast. Vera enjoys coming to work because she loves her teammates and she adores her patients. Vera's enthusiasm for her profession is evident in her ever-present smile.

Hygienist

Karen Parrish

Karen Parrish grew up in Burlington and entered the dental profession as an assistant. In 1987, she received her degree in dental hygiene. Karen is expert at educating our patients on their treatment plans. She makes certain that patients get answers to every question so they can make informed decisions about their dental health.
